ISL 2020: Teams, Full Schedule, Live Streaming and Venues
After a long wait, Indian football fans can now rejoice with the Indian Super League starting from Friday 20 November 2020. With a lot of uncertainty surrounding the event due to COVID-19 pandemic, this year’s edition will be played behind closed doors in Goa. Although spectators are prohibited inside the stadiums, they can watch the matches through live streaming apps and get all football updates too from their residence. Teams:
131-year old club Mohun Bagan has merged with ATK to form ATK Mohun Bagan and SC East Bengal are the two new entrants in the league this year. Now, there will be 11 teams playing in 115 matches over the next few months. The complete list of teams is as follows:

Full Schedule:
ATK Mohun Bagan will face two times finalist Kerala Blasters in the inaugural match of ISL 2020-21. As yet, only fixtures for the first 11 rounds have been declared and the remaining 55 matches will be declared in December after clarity on calendar dates of Asian Football Confederation. The dates for the semi-finals and final fixtures are yet to be finalised.
ISL Live Streaming:
All the ISL matches will be shown live on Star Sports Network, which is the official broadcaster but will also be available online on Disney+Hotstar VIP and JIO TV from 7:30pm IST.
Users who do not have Star Sports Subscriptions, can also catch the live streaming and updates of matches in specific apps such as Tata Sky Mobile, SportsTiger, Sportskeeda and Sportstar. Venues:
Due to the Coronavirus pandemic, all the matches will be played in empty stadiums in Goa. Safety protocols have been set and will be followed by each franchise during the entire league. There are three stadiums as given below, which will host the 115 matches of the tournament.
- The Jawaharlal Nehru stadium in Fatorda
- Tilak Nagar stadium in Vasco da Gama
- GMC Athletic Stadium in Bambolim
Additionally, for players to undergo safe training before matches 12 training pitches have also been allotted.
The Kolkata team, now named as ATK Mohun Bagan led by Spanish coach Antonio Lopez Habas, is the most successful team in the ISL having won three titles so far. Chennaiyin FC have bagged two titles and Bengaluru FC with one title are the second and third most successful teams in ISL. After IPL, ISL will get a lot of eyeballs from the Indian users.
