MS Dhoni will continue playing for CSK at least coming next 1-2 years

M S Dhoni celebrated his 40th Birthday on 07/07/2021. A day after his birthday, fans get a good news from the CSK franchise. Kashi Vishwanth – CEO of Chennai Super Kings,  confirmed that Mahendra Singh Dhoni will continue to play IPL as the captain of Chennai Super Kings for at least next 2 years.

With the new rule of player’s retainment as announced by BCCI for the upcoming IPL 2022 auction which is likely to be held in December 2021 or January 2022, Dhoni announced his retirement from National Cricket on 15th August 2020. M S Dhoni’s fans were worried about his retirement from IPL considering his age and performance in last year’s IPL.

Unfortunately, Chennai Super Kings failed to make it to the play-offs in IPL 2020, however they are maintaining the top 5 position on the score board in the first half of IPL 2021. The captaincy of MS Dhoni and the Indian pitch was in the favour of Chennai Super Kings this year, fans are yet to receive a great innings from the skipper himself this year and are eagerly waiting for it in the second half of IPL 2021 as CSK along with the other franchise will be travelling to the UAE for the remaining of IPL.
