Prasant Chopra speaks of his IPL memories at OFF THE FIELD SHOW

The IPL is around the corner, it is a huge platform for not only international cricketer also for domestic players. It provides a great opportunity for young players to showcase their skills and to make an impact in the game. With so much talent at the display, one is always curious to know about the journey of the players and their mindset. One of the player with brilliant skills and great potential is Prasant Chopra. Recently he featured in the SportTiger exclusive show, Off the Field where is opened about his experience.

Prasant Chopra told that he started playing cricket at the age of 6, as his father was a coach and that made Prashant inclined towards cricket at a very young age. He used to enjoy cricket and always loved the game.

Prashant Chopra was one the member of the U-19 world cup winning squad, and he shared his experience of the night before the finals where he told how everyone was calm and their coach managed the team not to take on any pressure. He remembered the night where their coach took the team out for barbeque just to keep them relaxed. Once they won the World Cup, it was like a dream come true for them.


He recollected how warm the welcome was for the champions, he still remembers the whole duty-free shops were closed and were clapping for the champions as they arrived and as soon as the players stepped out of the airport their was a huge gathering attended by media, local players, and people congratulating the whole team.

Prashant Chopra is also known for his explosive batting and on being compared to Virendra Sehwag, he told that Sehwag is a legend of the game, and there no comparison between him and Sehwag. A special feature in the interview was when he briefed about scoring his triple ton on his birthday. He elaborated about all that went through his mind and about that test match.

Prashant Chopra gathered some limelight when he was picked by Rajasthan Royals in the 2018 edition of IPL. He recalled how he was a bit disappointed when on being unsold on the first day of the auction, but was elated when he was picked the next day.

He is looking forward to be the part of the Indian national team, like every individual Indian cricketer at any level dreams of and is working hard for that dream.
Chopra also shared his knowledge to the youngster and gave them tips on being technically sound and advised that they shouldn't be trying unorthodox shots as this age.

On being asked about Dhoni, he expressed that he admires him and for once wants to play under him. He especially loves how Dhoni is down to earth and always respects individuals.
